Coalfire’s Secure Cloud Automation Services Recognized in the 2019 Info Security Products Guide Awards

Coalfire honored for its innovation in cloud compliance as well as its success in public relations

Westminster, CO – May 9, 2019 – Coalfire, a trusted provider of cybersecurity advisory and assessment services, today announced its Secure Cloud Automation Services (SCAS) won a bronze award in the Innovation in Compliance category from the 2019 Info Security Products Guide Awards. The company also won a gold award for Public Relations Achievement of the Year for outstanding public relations results.

“We are honored to receive two awards from Info Security Products Guide,” said Tom McAndrew, CEO of Coalfire. “As industries grapple with more stringent regulations and compliance requirements, we are dedicated to providing customers with innovative solutions to increase efficiency and reduce the time and cost to compliance. The SCAS award showcases the headway we are making in automated compliance solutions.”

Coalfire’s SCAS leverages the company’s expansive security, compliance, and engineering experience, in addition to its relationships with leading cloud service providers, to quickly deploy preconfigured cloud infrastructure that meets industry security and compliance requirements. Coalfire successfully helped Innovest accelerate its FedRAMP process through SCAS. Historically, organizations spend over a year to achieve FedRAMP authorization. Coalfire’s use of Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) security, automation and orchestration (SAO) techniques in FedRAMP dramatically reduces the time to ATO by up to 50%. SCAS is also enabling faster times to compliance for a range of additional compliance frameworks.

The company also won gold in the Public Relations Achievement of the Year category for doubling its public relations results from 2017 to 2018, despite competing with brand-name heavyweights in the cybersecurity advisory space. The award recognized team leader and Coalfire Senior Director of Public Relations Lindsay Smith, agencies Lumina Communications (US) and Citypress (UK), and UK Managing Director Andy Barratt for PR strategy and results, leveraging the thought leadership of Coalfire’s many experts.
