AEHIS is pleased to announce that registration is open for the 2018 Fall Summit, taking place Oct. 31-Nov. 2 in San Diego at the OMNI Hotel. This three-day conference coincides with CHIME’s CIO Fall Forum, and for the first time AEHIS and CHIME members will have the opportunity to rub shoulders at after-hours events, the “Party in the Park” Thursday concert, and Friday’s Most Wired awards ceremony. As a CHIME member, the Thursday evening reception and concert is always a highlight of every CIO Fall Forum.

Kicking off the conference on Wednesday, Oct. 31, attendees will enjoy an opening keynote and group activity, with a reception to follow. Over dinner, connect and network with your healthcare information security leader and executive peers. At last year’s Fall Summit, AEHIS attendees partnered with AEHIA and AEHIT members for an access node scavenger hunt. Attendees grouped together and fanned out across the conference center, looking for rogue access points that contained words that, when combined, formed a phrase. Expect an engaging and collaborative event partnered with our sister associations this year as well.

Our AEHIS Fall Summit Planning Committee has worked hard to establish an engaging program of speakers and presentations on Thursday. It has been a pleasure to work alongside them and develop educational and networking opportunities that will enhance AEHIS members’ careers.

AEHIS’ morning content will be themed around the priorities you, the membership, laid out earlier in the year through a short survey. You’ll enjoy topics such as road mapping IT security strategies, handling new cybersecurity regulations such as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), medical device security and more. Following lunch, our Foundation Partners will assist in a tabletop exercise designed to challenge even the most seasoned security leader. As the evening ends, AEHIS members are invited to join CHIME, AEHIT and AEHIA members for a “Party in the Park” concert, with drinks, dinner and a band playing timeless classics.

On Friday morning, the conference concludes with a joint breakfast for all attendees of the Fall Forum and Fall Summits at the nearby Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina Hotel. AEHIS members are encouraged to attend the Most Wired awards ceremony and the closing keynote following breakfast, where they’ll enjoy a closing ceremony designed for all CHIME associations.

The AEHIS Fall Summit Planning Committee continues to work hard planning a robust and exciting agenda for members. AEHIS will provide additional information on specific speakers and host a preview webinar for our afternoon tabletop exercise over the next few months; stay tuned for more announcements regarding our 2018 Fall Forum!
